Hot-tap retraction procedure

Because the probe can be removed under full process pressure, operators need to follow the sequence. Close the transmitter power first. Loosen the compression fitting nut slowly. Watch for any fluid weep past the PTFE seal. Pull the stem back steadily until the tip passes the ball valve seat. Close the ball valve.
